COHS hosts the 8th Grade Scholarship & Entrance Exam each November, which is required for entry into WNY Catholic schools. The cost is $20 for students.
The Fee is waived for any student who takes the HSPT Prep course at Cardinal O'Hara High School. Click here to download a prep course brochure.

Saturday, November 19th
8:30am-12pm
**Students are expected to arrive by 8:00am. A small snack will be provided during the exam break.

Parent & Family Session - During the Exam- 11:15 am - 11:45 am
Parents and family members are welcome to join a discussion while the students complete their exams. Topics to be covered during the session include: scholarships, tuition assistance, the application process, dress code and school policies - with a Q&A session to follow.
Preparation Course
COHS is pleased to offer a Scholarship & Entrance Exam prep course each fall, prior to the Scholarship & Entrance Exam. The cost for the course is $80 if registered before September 14, 2011, $100 after September 14th, and includes the course textbook, all study materials, and the Entrance Exam fee (if taken at COHS). The course focuses on math problem solving and reasoning skills, verbal and comprehension skills, and test-taking strategies.
Registration for the exam and prep course begins July 1 of each year and continues until all slots are filled. The course and exam are open to all 8th grade students planning to attend a Catholic school.
